It’s been 40 years, and finally the sequel everyone has been waiting for is here! Well, not everyone, obviously. OK, OK, so nobody actually asked for this, but here it is anyway.
Way back in 1984, I had my first-ever game published for the Commodore 64. That game was a text adventure called Pub Quest. It told the sorry tale of one man’s quest to scrape together enough money to settle his outstanding tab at his local pub.
Fast forward 40 years, and the same hapless chap returns for a brand-new adventure. This time, dressed in wholly inappropriate attire, he discovers that his beloved local has been transformed into a soulless corporate fun pub with a strict dress code.
You’ll need to navigate a strangely familiar, yet distinctly different environment, scrounging up some snazzy shoes, a decent pair of trousers, and a respectable shirt. All so they’ll let you through the door and you can finally buy yourself a pint.
